MicroSignet is a trademark but not a registered trademark. I had a discussion with Joe about this when MicroSignet came out. Apparently Edig did not think it was necessary to register the trademark. I emailed Fred also asking about e. Digital which is DEAD as a registered trademark. I never heard back.
