Message: Re: Apple Wants ContentGuard Patents Invalidated Amid Trial

"In a motion for judgment as a matter of law on patent invalidity, Apple Inc. argued that evidence showed that ContentGuard Holdings Inc.’s patents cover generalized programming for common computer functionality and thus don’t have any inventive concepts."

"generalized programming for common computer functionality"

That statement is a very broad brush. Why not Apple just state that ALL concepts of programming are not patentable. ...no matter what by-product is produced.

"generalized programming" ???

We need to follow that one to see what a judge feels of it.
