Now that graphic I try to relate to...

I get the graphic as a window sash....with four glass panes....two over two

However, for the many years of using MSFT software , the colors could be ordered in any array and I would not know the difference. The colors are just there to express different views.

Seeing that MSFT wanted to represent the plural windows....yet show only one window(sash) with numerous individual panes....perhaps they should have used the plural Panes.
