And without a doubt in my mind, this is how the Nest "time line" markers function...for video and the audio
e.Digital discrete segments: (address)A(segment)-----(address)B(segment)-------(address)C(segment)--------(address)D(segment)------(address)E(segment)......ETC 24/7
e.Digital, can read back any segment , combination of segments or all the segments as MSFT anticipated. e.Digital can edit new discrete data segments between the above discrete segments.....in any way shape or form.
They edit markers into the time line for motion or sound. They also edit a still image of an even at the marker....all you need do is roll over a marker and the still gives you an image taken from the video at that point in time....At that point you can further review the video for all the details....like who's opening your garage door....or kicking the door... throwing eggs at it ...painting graffiti on it ...doing anything to it. As you can see, it does things way beyond what the door opener company feels is a value added feature. . I wouldn't pay for it, but that's me.
There's going to be a lot of fluff surrounding this stuff.
