I am afraid this group of people have little chance.
The energysaving part from central heating is not only the thermostat. Your boiler/heating system can also be adjusted in many ways to save energy.
You can have the best thermostat in the world, if the rest of the heating system isn't wel adjusted, your 'best' thermostat can/will not save energy....
