IMHO: The "Google Dropcam Case" is the leading case by being the farthest along in litigation. The initiator of the IPR's of the "Nunchi Patents". This case originated in the Califoria Southern District until transfered to the California Northern District Court. Markman has been completed favorable to eDigital awaiting "Discovery" and/or decision of Motion to Stay pending IPR. ArcSolft last year had initially agreed to settle but later at the last hour recanted on terms of the agreement. Speculaton is prompting by "Google to not settle the case. Settling the ArcSolft case on the same alledged infringment of the Patents in suit would have set a president. IMHO "Google Dropcam" did not want any president regarding these Patents. The last filing against Nest Labs another subsiderary of "Google" during anuary 2016 asserted infringment claims regarding the Newest Nunchi Patents Granted to the Nunchi Portfolio of patents. No IPR requests have been reqested filed by Nest as of today's date to my knowledge. However, Nest Labs has the muscle and "Dollars" of "Google" and it wouldn't be a surprise iff a request occures soon. Again the Nest Labs case being filed in the Northern District has more than obvious merits. Therefore, your opinion that the Judge in the Southern District has "Focus" on the Northern District may not be too far off in his Ruling. Things are changing rapidly next week who knows what will be motioned or Ruled. Stay tuned and Good luck!
