Sounds like, no pun intended, they are using IP from a Woody Norris patent, or patents.
Parametric Sound, a spin off of LRAD, is marketing tech like this such as for slot machines, kiosks etc. Parametric merged with Turtle Beach, a head phone guru, now using Turtle Beach as the public company name, trading as PMAT, last time I looked anyway...no longer own the stock.
