In this paper , we will review previous attempts to define and provide a characterization of context and context – aware computing and present our own definition and characterization.

To develop specific definition that can be used prescriptively in the context – aware computing field we will look at how researchers have attempted to defineContext in their own work.

These context type not only answer the questions of who , what , when , and where but also act as indices into other sources of contextual information .

It is an interaction technique where a list of objects (Printers ) or places ( Offices ) is presented where items relevant to the users.

Context are emphasized or made easier to choose. Augment – able reality, virtual Post – it , notes , context toolkit , In / Out board , capture of serendipitous meetings , call forwarding.
