You are very much correct, the US treasury has suffered for a long time now...including SS, Medcare...etc contributions and those in charge have no intent on rectifying anything.

They're giving everything away... For the question of why, there is no answer...

They seem fit on just market manipulation at present...utilizing Fed sentiments as the main driver.

I've mad enough short term money on just Fed sentiments....like shooting fish in a bucket....where the gains are taxed short term and pushed into the treasury.

There is an absolute madness going on.
