The underlying technology was the embedded flash patents; they were working with Lucent and had several X-Intel people on board. We believed the IP was the glue to TI-DSPs and all multi-codec portable devices. The interfacing the SD slot was ours as well as the RAM controler functions which got screwed up by judges over last 5 years.

They sued probably 60-70 companies forming settlements/cross-licensing agreements and olnly raked in about 30M... Mysteriously settling with Apple etc..
