LAS VEGAS (AP) - With Christmas over and done with, it`s time to get a look at what gadgets will be hot for next Christmas.
The Consumer Electronics Show takes place this week in Las Vegas and will cover the length of three football fields.
The big story last year was Hewlett-Packard`s announcement of a deal with Apple to sell an HP iPod.
This year`s new products will likely focus on digital cameras, which have surpassed DVD players as the top selling home electronic product. Camera phones are also growing in popularity.
New versions of the iPod and the latest in high definition television will also be on display.
Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates will be the keynote speaker. Microsoft has been pushing to make the computer the center of the home entertainment universe, allowing people to watch and store video programing, listen and store music and view and store photos.
With the new technology comes new products. One service that will be showcased is the ability to download high definition movies.
Home theater are also very popular as more and more people buy high definition television. The addition of a better TV fuels the need for some to have a better sound system.
