You rang? Your digE numbers are as I recall. EDIG to APS/Wencor for $600-625. And you`re also correct in your recollection re: Ittiam reporting cost to build down to $400 per unit. But, as I recall, (and I think B-Lunist may be able to help here) EDIG`s ultimate cost was more like $500 (perhaps another hundred/unit for shipping and other ancillary costs, raising actually end cost to EDIG to ~$500/unit - so $100/150 per unit profit to EDIG - which would be consistent, if $150, with EDIG`s known target of a minimum 20% profit). And, as I recall it, it was Wencor that briefly advertised (or someone here found) their sales price as a little over $2,000/unit; but remember, they had to pay for content. Still, I`ve too always been amazed at Wood`s attitude, as it still looked like around a 100% mark up - how greedy can you be? Oh yeah, it ain`t the money, it`s the control.

I once suggested that those $750K orders to EDIG for enhanced digEs had the added cost due to the added functionality (card swipe and ethernet), making the quantity 1,000 units. No way to verify as far as I know, just a nice round-numbered lot.

Someone suggested a price of $800/unit for the Mede. I have no idea, but would think (considering the added functionality per Sunpoop/FF) that at that price, it would be sans content (and content could be an add-on based on customer desires). No real clue, just my SWAG. That price does seem mighty low even without content, especially considering what Wencor was demanding and apparently getting for a digE with much less functionality.
