It would seem very natural for employees to buy the stock of their company, but there are other things to consider. First, in Edig's case, how many employees have there been over the last 23 years?--not a whole lot. Secondly, if a person is dependent on the company's success to be able to continue getting a salary and paying the bills and buying the stock at the same time, it is really putting all your eggs in one basket. If the company fails, not only do you lose your income but also your investment.
