Possible, of course.  Doesn't sound like he walked, provided this is PN speaking, sounds like he was involved on some level of deciding how to divy up whatever they are divying and PN sided with us to some degree and got the door slammed in his face.  Pretty sure that he has a contract that states he gets 4% of the(net or gross?) of the income from the patents that he created so he is probably covered.
