The answer is that the patents had little or no value. The market would not pay any signigicant amount to license, and those that did either cross-licensed or paid a nominal fee which amounted to nothing more that a nuisance fee to make us go away. Whether is was Google, or US patent office, or Fred's uneffective sales and marketing effort, or something else, nothing ever materialized and it's a miracle we hung on as long as we did.
