Samsung as they are the leader in NAND structured flash...also being the first to utilize it for code storage execute in place....normally typical of NOR flash.

When this all started...NOR flash was the leader for code storage application (INTEL)....I`ve followed the progression of NAND(utilized exclusively for data storage)....

From Msystems to Samsung...it all took place after e.Digital came along.

IMO...TI utilized the principles of MOS bios management(device management)to create DSP-bios....now claimed to be an OS....It came after the E.digital engagement.

Same for Actel....their flash based security endeavor came after the engagement with them.

One thing is for sure we innovate what they want...for e.Digital it`s not about eVu`s or DigePlayers...though we need them to survive.
