If you recall, originally EDIG Business Plan was to license their intelectuall property,($14 dollars for every $1500 MP3 units sold), in the form of royalty from OEMS who would manufacture the products and sell them to public,(just like Qualcom)...

Those were the days Qualcom split 3 ways and was up to $350 per share. People were projecting $500 Dollar pps for EDIG in those days...

Then we had th big crash of 2000, and EDIG could not make a ``deal`` if their life depended on it...

7 years later we have the PTSC model that seems to be working. That is why I wrote the post below yesterday...

http://www.agoracom.com/nonmemforum/msgreview.asp?id=448535&refid=448512&orig=448506

If you juxtapose my post with what you quote from todays PR you will see that this is not a traditional ``let us hire a lawyer and sue, as was the case with Eclipse. The company will ``PARTNER`` with TPL,(a company made up of PATENT Lawyers that operate on a world wide scale...

The newly formed partnership files law suits, usually in San Jose, San Francisco, or Texas Federal Courts who have

a reputaion of understading and ``Moving`` these cases on a

``Fast Track`` basis, and seek the answer to the validity of their Patent Claims...

As soon as the answer to the first question is resolved, then th partnership proceeds with ``Licensing`` the intelectual property to companies who are already using it as they are ``committed`` to putting products out...

When you really think of it, it is another way of getting ``Royalty`` from manufacturers of products using EDIG``s intelectual property. The creation of the ``Partnership`` reduces litigation costs to what the partnership recovers after they have ``marketed`` the

intelectual property rights to those who are using it.

Hope this scenario works for EDIG as it seems to be working for PTSC...We will see?...

Good Luck to all...

Gil...
