Spafax snaps up DMX Inflight
February 28, 2006 – LEADING IFE content provider Spafax Airline Network has acquired Californian-based DMX Inflight.
Likewise a content provider, DMX Inflight is particularly strong in audio, and industry insiders believe the acquisition was driven by Spafax’ need to add music provisioning to its list of services. The move follows last year’s merger by Stellar Inflight and InterAct network to form Stellar Interact, and is expected to be the prelude to further consolidation and shakeout in the content provision arena.
DMX Inflight provides custom audio and video production, multi-channel programming, audio duplication and replication, audio and video compression, distribution and fulfilment, AVOD and DVD management, pre-recorded announcements and media sales services. Its clients include airlines in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
