That one is hard to call...it`s rosy now...however, IMO that could change as fast as it started....depending on the trends.
For one thing the main infringement was of the ``Fish clock``...
A dual clock scheme for CISC computing with a priority of hardware execution....It will remain important for as long as CISC processors are important.
RISC computing is single clock cycle computing with a priority on programming(software)
Two different methodologies
Hybrid variants of the two have been devised .
The new developments of PTSC are RISC based processor schemes...
CISC had its day of one size fits all...times have changed....
Where many years ago Moore/Fish could not...TPL Group/PTSC are catching the end of a dynasty on infringement...never to have...what could have been....IMO.. cut down to size in a big way.
IMO...PTSC better start selling their new devlopments to keep the rosy affair going.
