April 1, 2006 DigEcor is deadly serious in its intent to dominate the handheld IFE market. The Utah-based company has just announced orders for its digEplayer from two full-service airlines – Italy’s Alitalia and SN Brussels Airlines – plus leisure operators Jetairfly of Belgium and the UK’s MyTravel.

The latest contacts take to 26 the number of airlines to have selected digEplayer, with more to be announced soon, according to digEcor president Greg Beeston.

That news could come at next week’s Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, where digEcor will be unveiling the latest digEplayer version, the XT. The company can also be expected to say more about progress on the digEsystem semi-embedded product, commercial launch of which is now set for the fourth quarter of this year.
