``Moxa, I saw that ``state of the art encryption technology`` line and was thinking the same exact thought myself...hmmmm``
MPEG4, MPEG2, video and MP3 Audio...
The codecs stated do not support a specialized bit stream matched to specific processor as the DigEplayer manages with DivX....
The DigEplayer has three distinct layers...the codec is encoded with a specific bit stream that will only play on a specific processor scheme once it is decoded.
That encode is then encrypted for distribution and handling...
Once received by the DigEplayer personal....it is loaded in its encrypted state with keys to the harddrive which is yet a hardware encryption scheme...3 layers.
It was considered that DiVx was handling the first layer...as it was noted that they where capable of a security feature.
They may consider it ``state of the art encryption technology``...only for the second layer....same thing IMS does.
