We missed Rita, but not buy much, some wind damage and power outages in the greater Houston area.

We did get hit with Alicia in 1983, a category 3 and it was no fun. Lost power for 3 1/2 days and had loads of tree debris, but didn`t lose a single tree. Winds for a few hours of 50-80 MPH.

The area however lost thousands of trees, our golf course lost several thousand, 500 on one side by side hole.

Hurricans and tornadoes along with earthquakes and forest fires and flooding are bad scenes. We have to learn how to semi-control the weather and reduce the damage from these destructive forces.
