The rules were set in motion when Iacoca took over Chrysler, reduced his salary to $1/year, and the bailout actually worked at the time and it saved jobs.

I never thought for a minute that the big 3 would be allowed to fail. Our elected officials are in a charity mood with our hard earned money and we can't do a darn thing about it.

These are uncharted times all over the planet, and all this bailout stuff has done nothing to turn things around either, but all these talking heads say it will.

If we were the only country on earth cutting interest rates, throughing tax payers $ into private industry, I'd be more worried, but it's global.

I know how you feel, having read many of your OT posts on this bail out topic in general, and can't blame you one bit, but this retired guy needs help, so as much as it hurts me to see the Gov't doing all this stuff, if it works, I can deal with it.
