Clearly the work of a dangerous naive idealist.....and an uninformed idiot to boot. This guy's still railing against George Bush.
That smarmy cartoon implies that coercive interrogation doesn't work. He's wrong and he knows it. It's nothing more than a political statement. I'll give you my bottom line on interrogation techniques.......use whatever works. If the guy responds to dinner and a movie...great. If he needs a long drink of water up his nose....great. If you have to pull a fingernail or two out....great....you get the picture.
It's less about the right way than it is the smart way......if you're more interested in survival than some moral abstraction or the way the rest of the world views us. We're essentially alone in this fight except for the Brits, Canadians and some token non-combat troops from the rest of our "friends". I think the Poles sent a few fighters, though and now Obama is going to throw them under the bus in order to make nice-nice with Russia......don't get me started .
If I have to choose between saving American lives and hurting some terrorist's feelings, body and "rights", it's no contest.
I almost forgot.....we should withdraw from the UN. It's a worthless forum for stickin' it to the USA. Send them home to their grass huts. Harry Truman supported the UN at its genesis but.....if Harry were alive today, I'd bet my life he would have sent these corrupt slimeballs packing a long time ago.
Don't get me started.......again....:>):>)
