I saw Cavuto interview an AARP representative tonight. Apparently they were satisfied with the promises O gave them in the meeting. Yeah....just like the promises Tony Soprano makes.
As you might expect, they were more interested in preserving Medicare than anything else but he apparently promised even better benefits. I've been on Medicare for almost 11 years now and, frankly, I don't know how you can improve the benefits. Think about it....in the last 3 years I've had a triple by-pass and a replaced aortic valve......a bi-lateral(that's both at the same time) knee replacements plus another hospital stay to deal with a staph infection and all the costly physical therapy that goes with it. I never got a bill from the hospitals and the doctors' costs were nominal. I have a secondary policy but they get off easy because Medicare fronts most of the costs.
I need a hip replacement. I'd better get that done soon before O and his minions deny it. :>)
Richard....I'm guessing you've had a lot of exposure to Medicare. Do you think you deserve more coverage for what you pay in premiums?
Incidentally, Cavuto asked the AARP guy why he should accept O's promises because he's broken so many already. Of course the guy dodged the question but Neil suggested that even a small new government program could turn into a TROJAN HORSE. Now where have I heard that before? :>)
