Just having some fun. I don't play much anymore but, when I worked steady, that thumb occasionally gave me some discomfort. It acts as an anchor point on the side of the fingerboard when playing pizzicato. No... it doesn't have anything to do with anchovies and extra cheese.

The thumb certainly doesn't require surgery. Thanks for the explanation though.
