I assume you're from Kansas. If not, forget everything I say.
My wife and I have driven through the state many times on our Western camping trips. I've spoken to people who say the trip is boring because of the limitless farmland vistas. We've never considered it boring because it exemplifies the term, "breadbasket of the world". There's nothing boring about that.
Our favorite time was when the sunflowers were in bloom.......sunflowers as far as the eye can see. God..that's a beautiful sight.
I remember camping on a farmer's property. He had a couple of primitive sites designed to pick up some extra cash, I guess. I never saw so many stars. The air was clear and pure and windy. We always pitched a tent when we could and it took some doing that night to keep it from blowing away. I thought I heard someone singing, "Ease on Down the Road". I should have expected it when I learned the farmer's wife's name was Dorothy.
A great state!
