I saw a real one take off in the mid-60's. In the mid-70's, the air traffic computers could not keep up with them. We would place the vectors in front of their position and let them fly to it , then keep moving it back in front. It sounds like a bother, but they would fly through sectors so fast, you would start the hand off to the next sector as soon as soon as he entered your airspace. They flew very high, also! :>)

I'm still in awe of that technology.
