Politics and religion are "dangerous" subjects to discuss amongst life long friends and relatives, let alone "strangers" in a chat room.

Also IMO, nothing will get resolved/accomplished here on these topics.

At this place I frequent to have a cool one with friends in the afternoon, the typical policy "not to discuss politics and religion in a bar" is the accepted practice, but with 10 flat screens displaying everything from sports, talk shows and cable news stations blasting in our face, these things come up, and the worst arguments amongst friends errupts at times and spoils the day.
