Thanks to all for the opinions and your own experiences.

The room I needed this for is a den or you could call it a small family room.

Ended up getting a 32" LG. It was $50 less than an equivalent Samsung and I could not tell the difference in the pictures. $487 out the door from Best Buy.

LG settled for 1.6 mln, Samsung 1.2 mln, so that tipped the scale in LG's direction...lol...kidding.

I do agree Sony has an excellent picture and a friend of mine swears by the brand and will never buy anything else.
