If you look at Sony next to anything else, it has been my experience Sony has the better picture detail.Look at the background more than the main picture.

I bought my Sony because in background crowd scenes, in this case a basketball game, individual faces could be seen, not just blobs of color.

That is just my experience, and with my eyes now, it doesn't matter anymore.
