''FYI, yesterday, Baltia’s 747 was put into the first position in Kalitta's hangar in Oscoda . . . . and so the C-check work is getting done.

Also, Baltia has hired several professionals in Michigan, who will be instrumental in completing the Baltia certification - a Dispatch Manager/trainer and a person with a great deal of experience in being a liason between a certificating carrier and the FAA, specializing in SAI's, Safety, and other key certification disciplines. This bodes well for Baltia's relationship with the FAA's CMT (Certification Management Team) assigned to help get Baltia certified.''

''But......more importantly......I spoke with HQ today. In a nutshell: In anticipation of the shutdown, the FAA gave Baltia enough to keep them busy for a couple of weeks The new Director of Flight Operations is taking this time to become familiar with the Baltia Manuals (that is,..Baltia's way of doing things) and as soon as he is ready and approved by the FAA, training can start (ie: all the other ducks are all lined up in a row).

As for new target date...lol....still to early to predict. Let's just hope training begins before the end of October.......................''
