IFFCO just filed that they bought 315,900 shares YESTERDAY at .50 cents.
Since December 22, 2008 IFFCO has bought 1,837,850 shares in the open market at an average price of .47 cents. In December they bought 650,500 shares at an average price of .42 cents. Starting in January, IFFCO has been on the bid (through BMO) at .50 cents and has bought 1,187,350 shares there.
In the past 2 trading days alone, IFFCO has bought 497,000 shares.
We can only wonder who has to unload such a quantity of stock, and how much more there is to go. Hopefully, IFFCO will hold firm and continue buying. They really haven't spent that much money buying at these prices, and I would like to believe that they will sit there and buy all they can at .50 cents.
IFFCO still has a very long way to go to get their average cost down. If you all remember, they bought 15 million shares directly from Joe G. back in July 2008 for $1.87/share and they also exercised options for 5 million shares in Aug. 2008 at $2.50 share.
Their average price now on their position of 21,837,950 shares is $1.90
