Dear Mr Craig Michael.
I have read the notes of the AGM and i have a few questions to ask.
1. the first line on the LGDI website states that LGDI main aim is to increase shareholder value. With the SP dropping so significantly in recent times, how is LGDI management trying to achieve its main objective of increasing shareholder value. How will increasing the shares from 300million to 400,000million do this for the current shareholder.
2. many current shareholders in LGDI have been long term, why should they continue to have faith in LGDI management to increase shareholder value (main objective)
3. why would longterm shareholders remain holding in the midst of negative shareprice action?
4. you mentioned in your last email that management cannot control the SP. This is totally wrong as management is the only thing that can control the SP. You control it by achieving set goals, by keeping the shareholders informed with what is actually going on. LGDI have not updated the market with any news for several months. this basically says that LGDI have not achieved anything for many months. is this true. If you were a current shareholder ( i know you are but you probably know what i am getting at) would you continue to hold shares in lgdi?
5. If the SP drops much lower, will LGDI be the traget of a private takeover and what effect would this have for current shareholders?
I have an article from the Townsville news dated August 2008. In it, Legend management states that it will follow an agressive timeline and start production in 2009, ramped up to full production in 2012. With the construction of the plant nowhere near even being started yet, why havent management amended this announcement to inform shareholders? Are you hiding information from shareholders? How low will management let the shareprice fall before you make some sort of announcement, either positive or negative. You have a responsibilty to inform shareholders so they can make informed decisions about their investment. This is a responsibility you should take seriously.
i will continue to send this email until at least some of my concerns are answered or an update is made on the website. Many shareholders are very disgruntled and many have asked private organisations to investigate what is going on at LGDI at the moment. (Pattersons to name 1)
I have also noted the executive salaries have gone up several fold over the last few years amidst a drastically falling share price. How do you feel about that? I am only an everyday shareholder but i would think that salaries of your magnatude would be performance based and by looking at the shareprice, which is a reflection of success, performance has been poor to say the least.
