"...and would be a major blow to LBSR'S Big Chunk claims,..."
Why would you say that when EPA's actions may, in fact, be enhancing the appeal of Big Chunk?
Has it not been shown that Big Chunk is in a different drainage than Pepple? If so, then none of the arguments against Pepple apply to Big Chuck. This, then, would suggest that the best move PLP could make in the current environment would be to partnership with LBSR. This would likely ensure that they could at least make some progress toward developing something, while they wait for the clouds to clear over Pebble.
Having said that, perhaps PLP's recent acquisition - still pending - from LBSR may already give them the option for working outside of the Pebble drainage.
But who really knows? Maybe Geotech's presentation at PDAC will spark new interest in what they've already flown in the Big Chunk caldera. But, and IMO, one shouldn't waste any time worrying about Big Chunk anyway. LBSR is much too busy in Arizona (for now) to give time and treasure to issues in Alaska, unless someone with very deep pockets comes knocking on their door.
