China opens copper miners to easier deals on overseas investments - no government approvals required on ventures worth less than a billion dollars.

This sounds and feels like China is very highly motivated to take advantage of falling metals prices, and is scooping up opportunties globally, while the rest of the world, with it's more focused attentiion on short-term gains, is itself missing opportunities.

Could this benefit LBSR? Will we soon hear of another JB presentation in China, or of LBSR hosting a Tombstone site visit by investors from China?

Having said that, I can't guess how this news would effect levels of interest in "blind" targets, like Hay Mountain, when advanced projects are idle awaiting only development funds, though these are different markets - one speculative and the other not.

Stay tuned.
