Message: AZ drilling Permits

We are in process now. What that means: we are working within a system that requires collaboration with the Arizona State Land Department on a very detailed process that covers land use from archeology through post drilling remediation. When our application is submitted it will have been extensively vetted by AZ Land Dept. staff throughout the process.

We have a copy of the AZ Mining Permitting Guide on our website. It is from 2011 and was compiled by the AZ Department of Mines & Mineral Resources which was a data collection and information dispensing agency, now integrated into the AZ Geological Survey. The AZ State Land Dept. handles the actual permitting and has made numerous additions and changes to the rules and regulations laid out in that 194 page permitting guide. Those changes and additions have been incorporated into the permitting process but there is not a single comprehensive guide that enumerates all that is required to complete the drilling permits we need; it is imperative that we work closely with the AZ Land Dept. so that the permits are submitted without error or omission. We have a drilling plan (NR 180, 182) that is tailored to use the best available current technology that will have the least effect on the land surface to get through the permitting process ASAP.
