CORRECTION/MODIFICATION:

"Firstly, and perhaps most importantly, fully copying any message to post someplace else is almost always inappropriate, if not illegal."

Should read, "Firstly, and perhaps most importantly, fully copying any message to post someplace else is almost always inappropriate, if not illegal WITHOUT PERMISSION."
