Well, the Fed decided to do nothing, quite as some of us expected, and the markets responded with enthusiasm. POO shot up two whole dollars per barrel, and mining stocks too shot strongly higher. The mining indices are up 3-3.5 percent, while the Dow trails at up .9 percent at the moment.
