Interesting observations, and financial news this morning isn't helping. Suggestions point to the economy having slippled to zero growth. Where would we be without the stunning increase in oil production of recent years (no thanks to Mr. O who tried to prevent it)?
I read yesterday that we are in year seven a 7-year cycle in economic trends, which is not to offer that the last 7 years have been all that great. Having said that, Wall Street by comparison experienced dramatic growth over this time, and with no significant cooling at all - very highly unusual.
The banks have re-capitalized, but without investing/lending into growth. And if they are so healthy, why have they (and the Fed & Congress) agreed to Cypress-style confiscation of depositor funds the next time they get in trouble?
Again, be careful where you put you money these days.
