Meanwhile, and falling back on some understanding of IOCG deposits, I have to wonder about the possible connection, as IOCGs comprise the largest and richest mines on earth, Olympic Dam in Australia being the biggest. So, where's the possible relationship?

Please note that while some IOCG deposits include economic grades of uranium, not all are so mineralized. Having said that, dangerous concentrations of radon gas were recently discovered inside the Copper Queen mine at Bisbee, radon coming from the decomposition of uranium (probably at depth below the Copper Queen).
