Difference in the capping of HM and a capping of a salt dome is, the SALT is brutal on drills and deflections of the entire drillstem. With the HM the capping is assailable to permit efficient drilling thru the cap and stay on target below. Put to mind the salt domes offshore of Brazil, these domes dominated the below multi billions of barrels of petro. Once the code was cracked with the aide of superior metals, motors, nautrical flaoting surface ships, then that opened to door over the claimset offshore of Brazil to produce those recoverable 10s of billions of barrels of petro. Only comparing drilling thru a cap as such. At the NPSP old style drilling busted off and was halted, up to that point indicators said the NPSP was on track or on target, save for the busted drill bit. The fracturing of the cap as indicated at the HM sugest that the coring from the cap may well be severly fractured whilst coring thru the cap and JB will need to prepare for that by retreaving the cores up hole more often to remove fractured coreing so as not to bind the drillstem. Likely the only obsticle that will maybe slo the coring of said downholes. However the CAP should be an easy drill save that the fractures are easily recovered. IMO, i never considered the CAPPIN to be of any nature a problem whatsoever, save for possible oft fracturing in the drillcore, which is remidied by oft pulling the core to surface. I join you in the "I AM NOT A GEOLOGIST" clan as well, but after reading a likely 10 to 20,000 plus Geo reports, i kindah got an idea about all of this stuff, and i enjoy this sector "WIN (preffered)-(Lose,NOT)-(DRAW,never)". I must have been born in a CASINO! Play to WIN or dont PLAY at all! Winning in this sector takes knowledge, takes studying which is oft reffered to as DDing. Pick the winners, prefferably prior to putting down your CASH! I call JB&BOD my PICK!
