What would happen if there was ever even a small rush to get the physical asset behind the paper? Is there a system in place for such an event, and how does it work?

Is the question to get GOLD converted into paper money value? Is that that asspect behind lifting all "SHIPS" with the rising "TIDE" from the point of view that AU could well goto heights of valuation in PPO that hasen't been represented into fruition into the VAULTS of international Bankers storage casche. Is the (?) actually a maybe that the creeping ppo of AU is the event to trigger the heights aforementioned by an "ARMY" of annalysits, they being Miners,Explores, and Financialists from every sector. The "VISUAL" story begs the question, will there be a balancing of paper money to AU valuation, that being a very high ascending valuation of AU ppo. Lets just quickly look at the long survival of ROME, gold gave ROME her long endurance even to this day. Is that the manner for a Global economy to smooth out the rough edges for stability of global economic growth/stimulation? My thoughs for about 15 years have thought that is the ultimate plan for the yellow metals.
