Harumph, coal is not going away over night, especially in those economicies so much dependent upon it. That is not the United States. We are the richest nation on earth in regards to oil, and natural gas, thanks to fracking - don't need coal.
So, let me modify what I said. Coal here in US is a dying industry. Besides, the cost of production for alternative fuels has already fallen below that of traditional fuels and will continue that course.
Meanwhile, other nations now dependent on coal will be moving away from it as these other technologies become more available. So, let's get busy building LNG export terminals.
