Lots of very thoughtful posts here this morning.  I only want to clarify the twice mentioned observation about what I posted here many days ago.  That was about bad news being reserved for release on Friday evenings.  Yes, that is a rule of thumb in public companies, but there is a somewhat rare exception I should have also mentioned.  That is when the company wants to give the market time to digest news which could be taken for other than what is intended.  As noted, this is most likely to be one of those exceptions, avoiding a possibly negative knee-jerk reaction from the market over news which in reality could be good, bad, or neutral.
