He does not communicate, except through other people, I believe for have deniability in regards to what he intends to convey (as many attorneys are wont to do).  I find it interesting that you chose to support BG but also chose not to speak with him, or to JB.  Try doing so with one or both.  Your posts might come across as more convincing.
