Message: New Post: Liberty Star’s Board Chairman Pete O’Heeron Ranked #3 in The Silicon Review Magazine’s 30 Best CEOs of 2020

You are right that this announcement is likely to provoke many comments- even from the same poster- such as-

Okay . . . .

Or perhaps-

Is this the best they can do?

Or- is this just another opportunity for BG to exhibit his penchant for grandiosity- see his relating this to "Liberty Star's reemergence (reemergence?-when had it previously emerged?) as an important and significant contributor to the Nation's (note the capital N) critical mineral supply".

It's nice to hear- and I agree- that LBSR has such potential- but shouldn't we first see if we can just get drilled a couple of holes- (before talking about being an important and significant contributor to-  the Nation).

But upon reflection- if this announcement is to portray Pete O'Heeron as being a smart and skillful executive- and to imply that this has relevance to LBSR- then- what is that relevance? I think it would be for him- as Chairman- as well as a self interested shareholder- to step back see the current situation for what it is. Although as Chairman- not involved in day to day operations- perhaps it is not unreasonable for him to be part time- as Chairman he would be setting policy and establishing direction- not dealing with the day to day execution of policy. I'm sure his own company demands nearly his full attention. But he should see that the situation and requirements must be drastically different for a CEO/President. He should see that carrying out a vigorous search for partners and investors and negotiating with those potential partners must be a full time activity, requiring one's full attention and commitment. He should also see that new board members or employees- if they are to be more than placeholders and, instead, actual contributors- as as implied by the 2 recently touted additions- who- by the way- we haven't heard much about of late- need to be properly vetted to ascertain if they have remotely the skills, familiarity and expertise of our previous Geologist/President- James Briscoe.

He should also see past any petty actions taken by BG and understand that it is in the company's and shareholder's best interest- that- rather than try to find an equal to James Briscoe-  to take measures to bring the actual James Briscoe back into the company. I don't have knowledge of what those measures need be- none of us know the actual circumstances of his untimely ouster- but I might speculate that they may include things like legal actions and other punitive measures. Whatever they are- here is where Pete O'Heeron's leadership could make a major contribution to the company. Without James Briscoe- we are not only loosing out on his unique general geological expertise, but also his specific and particular knowledge of Hay Mountain and its environs. Why should BG have his way in this matter? Is there anyone else who shares his views- or has this become a one man- or a one part time man show? His actions also even may very likely be potential impediments to the very deals and partnerships we are all hoping for. For all these reasons- I do hope our Board Chairman deserves his Silicon Review accolades and will exert his leadership role and set us back on the right path.
