Thank you for clarifying that, VP.  The mark of character is being able to acknowledge a mistake.  I agree that if I were on the board I wouldn't want someone else signing such a form for me, but it isn't as bad as other possibilities.  I just think that it lends itself to possible abuse, not that such abuse occurred here necessarily, and the job of the board is to keep the CEO in check and look out for shareholders.

My overall view of BG's leadership is still not very favorable, but I will base that more on things other than the power of attorney issue unless other facts emerge.
