For all his great contributions, JB would have been better served to have had a BG or equivalent at the helm during that time or a better advisory board. Who ever was advising him, or lack of wise advise as to strategy and priorities may be the problem. Maybe we would not be diluted to death as a result and have a partner by now. Who really knows.
