What does that link mean to you?

More important, I would think, is how much gold is available to back our country's economic renaissance should the present global monetary system fall apart, requiring a new system backed partially or fully by gold?  Then the question will become, how will gold be valued in the new currency?  I keep hearing $50,000 or more per ounce (in current money), but who knows? 

In any case, the official gold holdings of the Federal Reserve and the US Department of the Treasury tops that of the next three counties put together.

Other countries may produce more.  But our holdings make us more important as an economic anchor for us and the world.
